Things I Love in a Like-ish kinda way.

I love to take pictures.

I love to edit pictures.

I love to eat.

I love to think.

I love to talk with my family on Skype. And so…

I love Skype.

I love Google and all its affiliations (except Orkut, because it is only popular in India).

I love my old Windows 2000 computer that makes lots of noise whenever it thinks.

I love fire.

I love shiny things like knives and mirrors.

I love to fall asleep and wake up in different places.

I hate my superficial necessities. Sometimes, I want to be tested by living as a hobo. And on that note, good night to Tumblr, as I go to a bed in a nice room, in a nice house, when others have a heap of concrete or dirt to place their head. Why am I given such ‘blessings’? Make use out of this life you have given me, so that I do not waste your great investment in me.

Marriage and Marriage

This whole homosexual marriage thing is buzzing around, but it seems that although the institution of marriage came from the Christian perspective, it has been attached to so many non-Christian/religious things. The hundreds of political and economic rights that come with marriage are not really intrinsic connections. It seems that the original concept of marriage, of a God ordained unity of a man and women, no longer applies to nearly all marriages nowadays. Marriage has been beaten, abused, and raped. It has been transformed and no longer means what it used to mean. Not saying all marriages are evil, but they simply aren’t all wonderful.

On the topic of the court case on the California Amendment, IMO the defendants don’t care whether it is constitutional or not, they just don’t think it’ll benefit our country, or specifically, the state of California. They just have to defend its constitutionality to keep protecting the state. Unfortunately, there has been no research on homosexual marriages to seek evidence on what our country deems as harmful outcomes of these marriages. Well, we’ll see what happens, but no matter what, God is in control. So, no worries.

Cognitive Dissonance

I found this as a draft, and I don’t think I ever posted it, and it is still applicable, .

Well this is one of the principles learned in Psych about when a person either has two contradicting beliefs/ideas, or the actions of the person don’t follow what they believe, and then they either change their actions or their ideas to they are no longer in disagreement. (Yes, Psych puts names on somewhat obvious concepts)

Well this can be pretty normal for me as I don’t think I should do something, but then I do, and I try to correct myself, but I continue to sin. But I realized I may have been contradicting a post of mine in reference to having a Jesus work ethic. I was saying I shouldn’t slack and work hard so I stop running into this last minute worrying about Finals and such. But for the past few years my mentality with school has been to do the least amount of work in order to get the grade I want. Now that seems to really contradict the other thing I said, hence Cognitive Dissonance. Now but if I try my ‘best’ I could spend a near infinite time working on school so I am absolutely doing perfect in it, but then I would miss out on either social or random other stuff I enjoy. But now it comes down to the thing I already knew. Priorities and moderation. I know I need to put more effort into school, but it is not the most important thing in my life. I shouldn’t worry about getting the highest grade possible, but I shouldn’t do the bare minimum either unless necessary. Dissonance solved.

Now you might say I should be using my time to work on those, but it is actually good I did this so I don’t forget anything.

We are going to have a Theory of Evolution vs Intelligent Design debate in Philosophy Club. I know stuff, but eh…. =( ?

Puking stinks

I caught some stomach bug that caused a very bad experience. I am recovering but very week. Threw up about 15 times during the night. Mostly between 12 and 2:30, and then again at 5ish. So much yellow bile…

Arg!!!

I just bought a PCI IEEE 1394 (Firewire) card for my PC and its not working!!! I have a hard drive that needs firewire so I finally got the card and its not working. I installed it and it didn’t come with a driver. So I installed one of the internet and that didn’t work either!!!!!!!! It is increasingly frustrating.
